Do you offer scholarships?
Yes. La Verne offers merit scholarships. We also encourage students to complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the GPA Verification Form (California residents only) by March 2 for maximum financial aid eligibility.
Will I be able to discuss my child's financial aid package with someone?
Yes. Our Financial Aid counselors help students fill out forms, meet with them individually, and answer any questions regarding financial aid. Visit Financial Aid for more information.
Are the classes taught by professors or by graduate assistants?
All classes are taught by La Verne faculty, not by graduate assistants.
Who can I talk to about my child's academic performance?
We recommend that you have a one-on-one with your student about their academic performance before contacting the University. If you would like more information, you may speak to your student's academic advisor.

How safe is La Verne's campus?
We take the security of our students seriously and our safety record is impressive. La Verne has 24-hour Campus Patrol continuously monitoring the campus and our residence halls are always locked. Resident Assistants are also on hand in the residence halls to be the eyes and ears of each community.
What are the residence halls like?
Each student room is equipped with phone jacks, Ethernet ports, air-conditioning, cable hook-ups and campus link telephone service. We offer a wide range of housing options including an all-women residence hall as well as housing customized for students with disabilities.
