Visit La Verne
The Office of Admission welcomes visits by prospective students and their families to our campus. Information sessions led by an admission officer and campus tours led by a current student are offered Monday through Friday at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. The campus is closed on most holidays.
During your visit, you can:
- Meet with a professor or athletic coach
- Eat a meal at our dining hall (on us)
- Take a student-guided tour and meet with an admission officer
- Explore ways to get involved and discover why the University of La Verne is the place for you.
We look forward to seeing you on campus soon!
Group Tours
*Please note that all group tour dates for spring 2010 are currently full.
Before you request a group tour, please read the important guidelines below:
The Office of Admission can accommodate a limited number of group visits from community colleges and high schools during the spring semester. A group visit consists of an information session with an Admission Counselor followed by a campus tour of the University of La Verne.
It is the goal of the Office of Admission at La Verne to make group visits as productive and helpful to prospective students as possible. Group tours are given by La Verne students who have been trained as tour guides and participate as members of the La Verne Admission Team.
Scheduling Guidelines
- Requests for groups will be accommodated on a first-come, first-serve basis.
- High school contacts will be notified shortly after their contact with La Verne whether their request can be accommodated or not.
- Group visits are scheduled on Wednesdays at 10 a.m. only during the spring semester.
- Groups must consist of a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 50 students.
- Groups must be made up of high school students. No middle school or elementary school groups can be accommodated.
- Request a Group Visit (linked to form -)
- After scheduling a visit for your group, a confirmation letter with details about how to get to campus and where to meet your hosts will be e-mailed to you.
- It is best to request your group visit well in advance of your intended visit date, as space is very limited and quickly fills up.
Visit Guidelines
- There must be at least one chaperon for every 15 students.
- Out of respect for the tour guide's class schedules, please arrive on time. Groups that arrive late may not receive a full tour.
- Students should come prepared to give the University of La Verne tour guides their full attention and be ready to ask relevant questions.
