‘Ort’ Hospitalized

Former ULV coach and educator Roland “Ort” Ortmayer remains in hospice care in Hillcrest Homes Woods Health Services with a severe case of pneumonia. ULV’s football stadium is named after this prolific and accomplished man.

Faculty Lecture

Kenneth Scambray, professor of English, will lead a presentation on “Watts Towers and Fresno’s Underground Gardens” in the President’s Dining Room at noon, Tuesday.

Town Meeting

President Steve Morgan, Provost Alden Reimonenq and other staff will be giving updates at a “State of the University Town Meeting,” Sept. 18, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., in La Fetra Lecture Hall.

GAS Moves

Graduate Academic Services is in a new location. It has moved from Woody Hall to the building that formerly housed the Mosaic Cultural Institute on Second Street, between D and E streets.

Parking Tickets

Beginning Monday, Campus Safety will issue tickets to any vehicles that don’t have valid parking permits. Permits are required Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
