Senior Sebastian Lopez serves in a doubles match against Caltech last Saturday. Lopez, with partner Kirin Asola, a junior, came up short in their effort. Asola won his singles match against the Beavers, 7-5, 6-2, but it was not enough, and Caltech won the contest against La Verne, 6-1. Today at 8:30 a.m., ULV will compete in the first round of the SCIAC championship tournament against top-seeded Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. A rematch with Caltech is likely for the Leopards in the second round.
