On Thursday, April 27, Debbie Roberts, Protestant campus minister,
President Stephen Morgan, and Rigoberta Menchú, along with translator
Madeline Rios were all on hand for the rededication of the Peace Pole, located
in the University Mall. The Peace Pole, which was erected in 1998, bears
the message, "May Peace Prevail On Earth," in eight languages
for all students to see. The event was in conjunction with the Multicultural
Fair.
