Wednesday, Sept. 27, was Redlands day to shine on the soccer field as they defeated La Verne 10-0. Lance Pico fights to gain control of the ball from Todd Echan of Redlands as Adrian Gomez looks on. The Leopards went on to play Cal Lutheran University on Saturday. With the Kingsmen seated No. 1 in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, a 1-0 defeat was a clear improvement for ULV after the Redlands romp. The men's team then traveled to Pomona Pitzer College where the Leopards were defeated 3-0. With a 1-5 SCIAC record, the Leopards play host to Occidental College tomorrow at 11 a.m., as the team completes the first round of conference competition.
