Matt Witt, assistant professor of public administration, focused on the Fourth Amendment and how the PATRIOT Act has left it with no meaning, during a talk he gave last week. “The Fourth Amendment has been ravished by the PATRIOT Act,” Witt said. Witt’s talk, titled “The Holographic State: Security, Disorder, and American Imperialism” was the first “Hot Spots” for Spring 2005.
