Water polo lets one slip away

Catherine Tehuitzil strikes the ball toward the goal while being attacked by Jillian Benson (No. 15) from the Macalester Scots on Saturday at the La Verne Aquatics Center. Lindsay Jones, the Leopards’ goalkeeper, had 15 saves. The first quarter started off for La Verne with a goal by Elizabeth Roberts. Diane Aguayo tied the game in the third quarter taking them into overtime. Catherine Anderson eventually scored the winning goal for the Scots, giving them a 3-2 win over the Leopards.
