Chris Kaelberer and Noor Wahba will be president and vice president, respectively, for the Associated Students of the University of La Verne beginning in Fall 2009.

The two defeated Alan Hernandez and Jocelyn Bravo for the top student government spots.

More than 400 votes were cast, which is the largest turnout in recent years, said Angie Anderson, administrative assistant for the office of student life.

The results were announced Wednesday in the Johnson Family Plaza.
