Planes of Fame
The “Planes of Fame” airshow will take place May 21 and 22 at the Chino Airport. The event will feature exciting flying activities with famous warbirds of the past as well as modern military aircraft.
Gates open at 8 a.m. Adult admission is $15, children 5 to 11 will be admitted for $5; children 5 and under are free.
Sierra Club hosts documentary screening
The award-winning documentary “Oil on Ice” will be shown at the next meeting of the Mount Baldy Group of the Sierra Club as part of a larger discussion about proposals to drill in the Arctic Refuge. The meeting will take place at 7:30 p.m. on May 24 in the Olin Building at Harvey Mudd College in Claremont. For more information call (909) 621-7148.
Vintage Collectables
The RBF Vintage Collectables Show will be open to the public 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on May 14 and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on May 15 at the Fairplex. This event promises a huge assortment of historical military items and related collectables.
General admission is $6 for adults and $2 for children.
U.S. Highland Games
Come to the Fairplex on May 28 and 29 for an event featuring the caber toss and other Scottish athletics, Celtic rock bands, Scottish folk singers, Scottish fiddlers, Scottish gifts, ethnic Scottish foods and British beer.
