Whittier's Annette Medrano (No. 10) and La Verne's Ashley Lejay (No.
5) battle for possession of the ball on Saturday during the women's soccer
game against Whittier. Lejay scored La Verne's only goal in the game. The
Leopards lost 2-1 in double overtime.
The women's soccer team beats Pomona-Pitzer, 2-0.
The Leopards kick off conference play with victories over Cal Lutheran
and Occidental.
A win over Occidental makes it 30 in a row (and counting) for the women's
volleyball team.
Cross country runners battle the heat in a SCIAC 8-way meet.
