Jessi Hoyt (No. 11) of La Verne sees an opportunity to regain possession of the ball from Redlands’ Sarah McNally (No. 26). Although La Verne lost 3-0, they rebounded Wednesday with a double overtime victory over Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, 2-1. With the win, the Leopards are now in a three-way tie for first place in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference with CMS and Redlands.
