Cody Smith, a student of Timothy Durkovic, performed Ballade No. 3, Op. 47 in A flat major, by Chopin. Smith performed with eight other students in a recital on Oct. 17 in Founders Auditorium. Durkovic and Scott Farthing entered nine of their students into the recital. The other students who performed were Nathan Lahr, Dayita Datta, Sarah Morales, Masami Tomita, Steven Andrews, Eli Hernandez, Heather Johnson and Melissa Stahly. All the students performed classical pieces.
