As part of the University of La Verne's Celebrity Concert Series, Cory Jamison performed last Friday in Founders Auditorium. Dave Stone on bass, Steve Rollins on piano, and Steve Biondo on drums, accompanied her in "Kenton's Cool School." Music featured in her show was inspired by Jazz vocalists Anita O'Day, June Christy and Chris Connor. The Chicago Tribune ranked Jamison's debut album, "Here's to Hoagy," among the top 10 jazz albums of 1999.
