On Friday and Saturday Cal State Hayward hosted the NCAA West Regional finals, as the University of La Verne went against Pacific Lutheran University. University of La Verne’s Tricia Schary (No. 21) and Amanda Thomas (No. 10) created a wall for Pacific Lutheran’s Lina Peloli (No. 8). Schary delivered 13 kills and one solo block. Thomas provided 51 set assists, eight digs and seven kills. La Verne will face Wittenberg tomorrow in the quarterfinals.
