Jazz sounds at Rico Coffee

Rico Coffee will present  its regular jazz extraordinaires the Royale Garden Dixieland Band at 8 p.m. today. 

The five to eight member band creates a mix of sound between that of New Orleans and Las Vegas lounge acts. 

Rico Coffee also presents open mic nights every Thursday at 8 p.m.

Theater reveals holiday spirit

The House of Praise Fellowship in La Verne  will host “A Night at the Bethlehem Inn” at 7 p.m. on Dec. 15 and 16.

The theater show will tell the true meaning of Christmas through the eyes of the Bethlehem Innkeeper and his family.

Senior artwork presented

A senior thesis exhibition titled “Liminal,” showcasing the artwork of graduating art students, will be displayed at the Harris Art Gallery beginning on Monday.

A reception for the artists will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday. Admission is free.

West African ensemble beats

The music department will host the annual West African Drum Ensemble event, now in its fifth year,  featuring music department coordinator Steven Biondo, his class and special guests the Kingsmen Alumni Corps Drumline.

The event will be held at 8 p.m. on Dec. 6 in Dailey Theatre.

General admission  is $5, students are free.
