Free Snacks

The Learning Enhancement Center, next to the library, will be open from 8 a.m. to midnight, Dec. 15 and Dec. 16.

Students are welcome to come study, use the computers and enjoy some free snacks.


San Dimas is hosting a breakfast with Santa tomorrow, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Civic Center Plaza.

There will be a snow play area and a slide run. Santa himself will make an appearance.

Holidayfest will also be taking place.

Upland Dog Park

Upland is “calling all dogs.” Dog owners are welcome to bring their pups to the Baldy View Dog Park tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. A picture of the dog and his owner(s) will be taken with Santa.

The cost is $10.

Foster Care and Adoption

A parent orientation meeting will be held tomorrow at the Upland Public Library at 450 North Euclid Ave. from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

Those who are interested in becoming foster or adoptive parents are welcome.

Santa’s Hayride

Purchase tickets now for a hayride with Santa Dec.19 in Horsethief Canyon Park.

The cost is $4, and refreshments will be served.

Chaffey Showband

A Christmas concert/variety show featuring the Chaffey Community Show Band, directed by Jack Mercer, retired director of the Chaffey High School Band, will be staged at Chaffey High School, Dec. 22, at 7:30 p.m.

Planes of Fame Air Museum

Planes of Fame Air Museum in Chino will be holding many special events in the new year.

The events will be held on the first Saturday of the month, with at least one exception.

Events start at 10 a.m., starting with “Fighters Over North Africa,” featuring the Curtiss P-40N Warhawk.

Planes of Fame Air Museum is open seven days a week. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

General admission is $11 for adults, $4 for children under the age of 12, and free for children under the age of 5.
