The 24th annual Crop Walk for the Hungry took place last Sunday in
Upland. More than 725 people walked and $50,000 was raised. "It was
a beautiful day, and there's something moving about people coming together
and walking because they [the hungry] have to walk. It is a powerful statement,"
said Mary Kashmar, walk coordinator.
