The Associated Student Federation (ASF) Forum convened in the West Dining
Room Wednesday, looking back at Homecoming Week, looking at a revised budget
and selecting a new member of the Forum.
Old Business
ASF briefly discussed the possibility of allocating money for a new
gym floor and a revised budget was passed out, which reflected a larger
contingency budget, which now amounts to more than $32,000. A vote on the
gym floor allocation will most likely take place at next week's meeting.
Special Elections
An election to fill the position of former Forum member Jeremy Houska
took place, as freshmen Alena Vlna, Melody Saten and Christine Mikusky interviewed
for the position. Vlna, who had previously interviewed in ASF's first special
election of the year, was elected by the Forum.
Upcoming Plans
Forum members discussed upcoming plans, which include the Holiday Dinner,
the Free Day of Fun and the possible Lip Sync Contest. In a past meeting,
it was decided that the Lip Sync contest would have to have at least 10
acts in order to take place. As of the meeting, no contestants had signed
up. The final day to sign up is today.
