Cowboy Bill Stewart from Temecula readies his lasso as he and 139 other men, women and teenagers guide 287 cattle down the streets of La Verne. The cattle drive, approximately six miles long, marked the start of Western Weekend at the 76th Los Angeles County Fair, at Fairplex in Pomona. The Fair continues through Sunday.
