Lynn Stanton-Riggs began her employment with ULV in 1989 as the Education Department Credential Analyst. In 1992, she became Director of Learning Enhancement Services, and in 2001, Assistant Professor of Education. Lynn became Chair of the Child Development Program in 2004.

Lynn’s current research interests revolve around promoting positive social-emotional development in preschool children through intentional curriculum. Her other interests include infant/parent mental health and positive parenting. Lynn specializes in teaching Child Psychology and Development, Parenting for Early Childhood Educators, Child Observation, Child, Family and Community, and Senior Project.

On her work with the Fairplex Child Development Center, Lynn states, "Working closely with the Fairplex Child Development Center is one of the highlights of being a faculty member at ULV. The continued relationship between the University and the Child Development Center has strengthened both programs over the years. ULV students derive enormous benefit from working with their mentor teachers. It's truly a win-win situation!"
