I Lost my I-20; What do I do? Or... How to replace a lost I-20.

When you lose your I-20, you can apply to have a new copy issued in the following way.

  1. Secure a "Police Report" from the Police Department nearest to the location you think you lost the I-20.
  2. Write a letter to the International Student Advisor In the ISAS and explain what happened.

Submit the Police Report and your letter to the ISAS. The Advisor will check your records and, if everything is in order, will issue a copy of your I-20.

You should always keep the copies of the old I-20s as part of your official documentation.
