About himself, Philip says:
I have worked at La Verne since July 1998, moving here with my wife Joy from Fresno, California. We have two children. I have worked in international settings for a number of years: teaching in Nigeria and Guatemala, administrative work in the Philippines and internatonal education in California and Pennsylvania. I enjoy working with international students. I also teach a class in International and Intercultural Experience. I enjoy singing (choral music), listening to music, bicycling and walking my dog Charlie.

About herself, Debbie says:
Aloha! I began working as the International and Study Abroad Center Advisor at La Verne in July 2004. Previously, I taught English as a Second Language and served as the Language Center Director at a university in Hawaii for more than twenty years. I have been most fortunate to work with international students in these capacities. My husband is a former international student and each of our three daughters has studied abroad. Our travels have taken us to various places in Asia, Europe, and North America.
